Are you thinking about a K application, working on a K application, active on a K, or working on another type of grant/funding proposal? The Pediatric Research in Inpatient Systems (PRIS) Network wants to help! Please join us at our pre-PHM Early Career Research and Grant Writing Support and Networking Meeting Wednesday July 23 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. PT in-person in Anaheim, CA prior to the PHM conference!

This workshop is being led by PRIS Network (https://www.prisnetwork.org/) leadership and is provided at no cost to you! We will tailor the meeting to the attendees, but plan to support researchers at any stage of their careers/funding.

We can collaborate on: the application process for Ks and other grants (including PCORI), pros and cons for a variety of funding opportunities, feedback on grant ideas or sections, feedback on how to overcome challenges on current projects (including recruitment and retention, meeting milestones, collaboration with team members), how to respond to reviewers, and how to transition from K to R (or other funding).

We also want to help facilitate a community of PHM researchers across the country!

If you are interested in attending, please complete this form by June 6.

Newborn and community-based hospitalists are integral to the pediatric hospitalist community, with educational needs that, while often overlapping, can differ significantly from those of colleagues working in tertiary pediatric care settings. Both the Community Hospitalist and Newborn Hospitalist Pre-Conferences have been offered in various formats at PHM for the past several years, and this year, we are thrilled to offer a jointly sponsored pre-conference program to participants.

We aim to continue offering a comprehensive and impactful educational experience tailored to the unique needs of these hospitalist cohorts. This year, we plan to capitalize on areas of synergy in our practices by providing a joint pre-conference program focusing on hands-on, simulation-based training in neonatal and community hospital pediatric emergencies. Additionally, we will incorporate didactic components focusing on the NRP and PALS algorithms, and other topics of key relevance to our audience.
